Required Application Documents

Applying for government opportunities requires strict compliance with Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) standards.

1. The New Z83 Application Form

You must complete and sign the New Z83 Form (effective from January 2021).

  • Ensure all fields in Parts A through G are filled in completely.
  • Include the correct Job Title and Reference Number as specified in the official vacancy advertisement.
  • Sign and date the declaration section on the form.

2. Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Submit an updated CV detailing your educational background, relevant academic projects, software proficiency, and personal contact details.

Note on Supporting Documents: Under updated public service application directives, applicants are generally required to submit only the Z83 form and CV initially. Certified copies of qualifications, ID, and academic transcripts are usually requested only from shortlisted candidates during the interview stage.

How to Apply: Step-by-Step Instructions

You can apply online or submit your documents via hand delivery/post, depending on the instructions in the specific vacancy circular.

Option 1: Online Application via Email

  1. Combine your completed Z83 form and comprehensive CV into a single PDF document.
  2. Create a clear email subject line containing the exact Job Title and Reference Number.
  3. Send the document to the designated email address provided in the official post advert (e.g., specific regional or branch recruitment emails).

Option 2: Hand Delivery or Postal Service

Deliver your physical application packet directly to the relevant provincial head office or regional Labour Centre prior to the advertised closing deadline.

Tips for a Successful Application

  • Match Reference Numbers: Submitting an incorrect reference number is the most common reason for automatic disqualification.
  • Double-Check the Z83 Form: Ensure every page is initialled and the final page is signed. Using the old Z83 form will result in disqualification.
  • Track Deadlines: Late submissions are not considered under any circumstances.
  • Prepare for Vetting: Shortlisted candidates will undergo personnel suitability checks, including qualification verification, citizenship checks, and criminal record screening. 1   Graduate Internship Programmes for the Financial Year 2025 To 2027 Department of Employment and Labour
